How many people hate the iPad? NOT ME!! I remember when Steve Jobs released the original iPod and the whining and moaning over that. And look at how many iPods Apple has sold? Good thing Steve didn’t listen to those guys when making decisions…and the same is true with the iPad. This will change the way we do things. The way we get information and the way we learn in schools.

Well Clara had her 11th birthday today and Steve JObs released the latest and greatest new Apple toy, the iPad. Say what you want about it, its missing this and its missing that. The iPad is a game changer. A game changer for the publishing industry and a game changer for the Amazon Kindle.

Clifford kids had a blast doing a pottery project at “The Fire” in downtime Appleton. Also putting the finishing touches on Tommy’s pinewood derby car.

Tommy talks about Conan’s 40 plus million dollar buyout form NBC and how he takes care of his crew. He even took money from his own pocket to pay severance packages to them, Amazing!

Love kid weekends. Seems that he work day always goes fast when I know I get to pick up kids at the end of the day. Also had lunch with Mrstommytrc and her band of hooligans from work. WHAT A BLAST!!

the Professional Grade, AKA GMC Envoy has been in the shop for a few days. New water pump, fan belt and fan clutch and we are good to go… Auto Clinic ROCKS!!! My Credit Union puts a $1000 on your daily purchases. Good to know for safety sake, but if you are on vacation, that could be trouble. Well all is well. I know the sound is only mono..i’m working on that at the moment also.

Many people have asked what equipment I use for my video logs. I use a Kodak Zi8, I cheap-o mic I got on Ebay and a cool suction cup mount to hold the camcorder to the window as I drive for hands-free and safe use. All for less then $200.

This morning I had the opportunity to teach a wordpress class with my good friend Michelle Mangen. What a blast we had teaching a few people the joys of blogging. its great to watch people soak up something you have to offer and when lights go on…love that.

Every new year brings exciting new challenges..its also brings cub scout pinewood derby time. Tommy and I love working together to build his car.

News reports are saying there is a crop of people who are seeing Avatar and then leaving the movie to find out they are becoming depressed. Watching the perfect world environment and then having to return to reality seems like too much for some people. Tommy talks about this in his daily tommylog.
