My Thoughts on Motherhood
Posted By tommytrc On Saturday, April 24th 2010 In TommyLog Tags: children, kids, moms, mothers, mothers day, tommytrc, wifeWith mothers day right around the corner, Tommy reflects on his mother and the mothers of his children. Just because he is divorced does it mean he speaks ill of his ex wife. She is still the mother of his children and deserves to be honored and respected.

Mrstommytcs New Laptop from Best Buy
Posted By tommytrc On Wednesday, April 21st 2010 In TommyLog Tags: Best Buy, gateway, Geek Squad, Laptop, mrstommytrc, VirusesWell I finally did it. I bought mrstommytrc a new laptop. It was painful process. Not in money or picking one out, but the sales process. Best Buy is just so pushing selling their extra “services” and geek squad crap. No, I do not need $50 cables. No I do not need the geek squad to set up my laptop for an extra $100. No, I do not need a printer. No I do not need anti-virus software that is over priced. NO NO NO. I overheard one sales guy telling another guy the PC will run better if the geek Squad were to “install” it for him. What a waste of $100.

I’m such a softy. Ultimate softy. I have no idea why I am the way I am, but when the customers agent said “welcome to the United States!” I got teary. Maybe its all the time away from home and missing my family, maybe its pride, but one thing is it’s not any less pride and love for my great hosts here in Vancouver. I love Canada, make no mistake, but my home is my home and I miss it so.

Tommy is spending all his time networking and entertaining at the #GUA2010 conference. He certainly didn’t bring enough business cards. He is darn near out. Many people to meet and give out his new card too. Many people to explain the new job, many congratulations and some in shock. So many great people to meet!
