The Strength of Youth
Posted By tommytrc On Tuesday, June 22nd 2010 In TommyLog Tags: il, Leadership, nauvoo, strength, youthWhat an amazing experience to be around 150 of the most well behaved youth. Being a youth leader is such a blessing as I learn and grow from them. I see a great future when I look in their eyes. What a comfort that is.

The Value of I’m Sorry
Posted By tommytrc On Saturday, June 12th 2010 In TommyLog Tags: Armando Galarraga, Jim Joyce, leader, Leadership, Major League Baseball, Perfect game, sorry, Sport, traitsTommy talks about leadership training and the value of saying I’m Sorry. How different would this word be is leaders just admitted their mistakes and said I’m sorry. I used the example of the umpire Jim Joyce‘s error robbed Armando Galarraga of his perfect game and how there are no hard feelings. What an amazing story. A great lesson to be learned here.

It’s all about Trust
Posted By tommytrc On Friday, June 11th 2010 In TommyLog Tags: BP, Environment, loyalty, Oil spill, trustTrust is one thing that takes years to build and seconds to be dashed. Take the BP Oil spill for instance. Years of BP trust and loyalty are killed in a matter of moments. Why is the 99 good things replaced by 1 bad thing. Trust can be killed in an instant. Rememeber that kids!

Clara’s Citizenship Awards
Posted By tommytrc On Saturday, June 5th 2010 In TommyLog Tags: award, citizenship, clara, family, Kiwanis, little chute elementary, Special needs, tommytrcToday is a daddy at home day. Taking care of emma and drew then going to Clara’s school to see her get awarded the Kiwanis citizenship award for Little Chute Elementary. Makes me so proud of her. What a great kid as are all the clifford shorties. Sorry, goofed up on the title of this video…
I went to Little Chute Elementary to see Clara get her citizenship award. As I saw her walk in, she was helping a special needs kid named Richard. She even had him sit next to her in the seats. What a great example to me. Award or not, that single act of kindness was amazing!

Dads Make Mistakes Too
Posted By tommytrc On Wednesday, June 2nd 2010 In TommyLog Tags: car crash, clara, dads, Little Chute Wisconsin, madeline, Memorial Day, mistake, wrongThis week was a great kids weekend. Memorial day weekends really rock especially when there are clifford kids involved. We had a blast There was a terrible accident involving some good friends from Little Chute. Madeline was hit pretty hard by it. I down played Clara’s role in the whole thing and certainly didn’t give her the care and attention she needed as she had friends involved also. Sorry Clara for that.
