Emma got invited to a pirate birthday party hosted by the one and only Andy Crash for his son Patrick. We had a blast. Emma was so wired when she got the eye patch and pirate hat. Both Emma and Drew just love the Disney Junior show Jake and the Never Land Pirates. They just eat that stuff up! THANKS Andy for including Emma!!

Tommy today shows off his GREAT thank you card he received from the master David Jackson! No matter what your take on the effectiveness of direct marketing, it’s seeing resurgence as of late. The days of endless bank mailings are all but over and now you can see who is really trying to engage using cross media tools. The post cards I find in my mailbox seem to be mostly well thought out and planned. No more huge mass mailings!

David Jackson invites me to his pad, aka studio, to talk about high school, college and to talk career. David is an Eagle Scout who almost didn’t graduate high school. David talks about what influenced his life to want to be a police officer. What a great story about how you never know what a difference you can make in the eyes of a young kid.

Davis also goes on to talk about the integrity and character to be the best yu can be. If you try and fail its so much better then not ever trying.

It was such a pleasure to talk to David… a true pro at what he does. We need to work on the sound a bit ~

I have so many things to be thankful for. I have the BEST friends in the whole world and I wanted to share a few gifts and thank you cards that I have received from friends this past week. Marc Busko is a friend I met while speaking at Kimberly High School. he is a DECA master and national award winner. I’m not sure what I did but he sent me a Quote Quest shirt in the mail. THANK YOU for that kind gesture!

And then there Green Bay Greg. Not a lot needs to be said about him except he is just covered with Awesome! I appreciate you and your kind gesture!

Over the weekend, the Mrs and Jody (my ex) went to get sushi at the Osaka restaurant by the mall. Such great sushi. I once thought that the only good sushi place was the Koriana.

Tommy took over the lawn mowing duties this week and did one heck of a good job. Kinda caught me off guard how excited he was to mow, but if he wants to do it, then go right ahead!

My Brother Chris and his sweet wife Heidi had a 9 lb baby girl last night. How exciting to hear the news via text and know all is well. This is how we do things now. So exciting for him and his family!

So Emma and Drew each got bikes with training wheels on them this weekend. Not new new..but new to them and they could not be happier. These are Clara and Tommy’s old bikes…but who cares. I put on the training wheels and a bell on Emma’s and she was off to the races. Drew does not ride his, he just leads it around by the handle bars. Emma calls her bike bullseye and her name is Jessie… ala Toy Story.

We had an awesome big kid lunch this weekend with mom. So great to share lunch with everyone knowing everyone gets along so well. I know some people say its odd the way my ex and current wife get along so well..but it works and I really think that’s the way it’s supposed to be!
