Well kids we had a good old fashions thumping storm last evening. Golf ball sized hail, serious wind and rain in buckets. It just poured and poured and the trees were pounded by the hail. You could see accumulation of hail in some spots. This comes the evening after our new North Social media Breakfast in Green bay. I love getting paid to attend these events. This one focused on the financial market. It was wonderful to learn from people in the industry and see how they use social media, WELL DONE!

Breakfast with Social Media Masters
Posted By tommytrc On Wednesday, May 19th 2010 In TommyLog Tags: business, Green Bay Wisconsin, Marketing and Advertising, New North, NNSMB, Social media, Social Media Breakfast, twitterThis morning I attended the New North Social Media breakfast hosted at Titletown in Green bay. I noshed with some great ones in the social media arena. What is different about this visit is I was going on behalf of HC Miller and not as an innocent bystander like my days of old at my last job. So many new people to meet, so few business cards to give out.

I have had some amazingly great interactions with AT&T’s customer service over the past 2 weeks. I know its glamorous to dog pile on AT&T these days with regards to iphone issues, but right now I could not be happier. Today AT&T deleted over $90 in Canadian data usage. WOW I’m just so impressed with them.

WOW..interview #2 today for the IT position. This one didn’t go nearly as good as my buddy Derek’s. Well it stunk so bad. Terrible, rotten, awful… the worst. Probably the #1 single worst interview I have ever had to sit in. The person had a resume of gold, but the people and communication skills…not so much. So things are looking up for mr @webjunkie. He has his second interview coming up. SO exciting. So very exciting. Good Luck Derek.

TommyLog – Such a GREAT Day!
Posted By tommytrc On Tuesday, March 23rd 2010 In TommyLog Tags: business, Landline, Long distance, Services, Skype, TelecommunicationsSo my buddy @webjunkie from twitter had a job interview for the IT director position at my place of work. buy would that just ROCK if he got the job. Great interview btw. I also spent the day setting up Skype for our international long distance in our press division. I have never used the paid version of Skype, but it totally rocks. I love solving problems and saving a potential $500 a month in international long distance isn’t a bad way to start.

The Last hours – Exit Interview
Posted By tommytrc On Saturday, February 27th 2010 In TommyLog Tags: anduzzi's, business, exit interview, happy hour, new job, quit, red shoes pr, resign, soarToday was my last day of work at RR Donnelley. Almost 14.5 years of great memories, laughs and love. It all came to a close at the Exit Interview. About a dozen questions about my stay at RRD. Pretty sterile and objective. A pretty emotional day, but all in all..amazing. THANK YOU all my RRD friends and family. Its Happening and this is just the beginning!!! So exciting to watch it all happen.
NOTE: There are 2 videos for this posting, so scroll down for more….
With the exit interview behind me, it was smooth sailing. A dozen or so questions then its time for lunch with my great friends at Red Shoes PR. We grubbed at Panera Bread, talked about our first jobs and transitioning betwen jobs. Fun had by all. Now its off to happy hour and more friends and well wishing.

Over the Top GREAT Customer Service @AffinityHealth
Posted By tommytrc On Sunday, February 7th 2010 In TommyLog Tags: affinity, affinity health, apology, business, Customer service, Health, service, sick, sorryThis story comes full circle. Today I received a phone call from the Affinity Health doctor that was responsible for seeing Baby Drew. I heard the 2 words that rarely if ever get said, I’m Sorry. She said I’M SORRY!!! I’m 100%, do not pass go, do not collect $200 BLOWN AWAY with the fact that someone called to apologize. How awesome is that!! When was the last time someone actually said “I’m sorry?” People screw up all the time, but how pleasant is it when someone actually admits it. A prime example of excellent customer service. Affinity Health has a customer for life and this is reason #1.
