Tommy talks about just being happy. Enjoying what you have and being happy if others excel or have things you do not have. Just be happy with what you have and don’t worry about what you don’t have. Happiness starts from within.

TommyLog – Extreme Makover – Home Edition; Haters #emhewi
Posted By tommytrc On Monday, August 16th 2010 In TommyLog Tags: #emhewi, bitter, Extreme Makeover Home Edition, family, happy, haters, love, neenah, negative, Newspaper, Reality-Based, Television, WITommy talks to all the cowardly people in the newspapers who hide behind their avatars and leave vile and venom filled comments regarding the Arboleda family who was selected as an Extreme Makeover Home edition recipient. These comments are just terrible. From wanting to know what they did to deserve this to pointing fingers at how big their family is and it’s their fault for having so many kids to why not spend the money on other more deserving families. One person even said “he has a masters why not get a better job?” Is this really what this is all about? NO!!! It’s about making a dream come true. It’s about the community and coming together. How amazing is this for the people and town of Neenah. The exposure is wonderful and the good will, over the top awesome! Why can’t we all just be thankful for this family? Why can’t we all just love serving and helping others in need? Why must we cut down the process and chastise the family?
Can’t we just be happy for them? Remember kids… if life was fair, none of us would be there. Never forget that.

Clara’s Citizenship Awards
Posted By tommytrc On Saturday, June 5th 2010 In TommyLog Tags: award, citizenship, clara, family, Kiwanis, little chute elementary, Special needs, tommytrcToday is a daddy at home day. Taking care of emma and drew then going to Clara’s school to see her get awarded the Kiwanis citizenship award for Little Chute Elementary. Makes me so proud of her. What a great kid as are all the clifford shorties. Sorry, goofed up on the title of this video…
I went to Little Chute Elementary to see Clara get her citizenship award. As I saw her walk in, she was helping a special needs kid named Richard. She even had him sit next to her in the seats. What a great example to me. Award or not, that single act of kindness was amazing!

I’m such a softy. Ultimate softy. I have no idea why I am the way I am, but when the customers agent said “welcome to the United States!” I got teary. Maybe its all the time away from home and missing my family, maybe its pride, but one thing is it’s not any less pride and love for my great hosts here in Vancouver. I love Canada, make no mistake, but my home is my home and I miss it so.

Well this has been a long week away from the family. I was in training for some software called PageFlex by Bitstream. But now I need to go to work and start solving our customers problems. So much to do, so little time to do it. Seeing the family again will be great!!!

IT’S HAPPENING!! 2 Weeks Notice
Posted By tommytrc On Saturday, February 13th 2010 In TommyLog Tags: 2 weeks notice, family, friends, job, quit, resign, soar, tommytrc, web to print, workToday after lots of soul searching, talking with friends and prayer, I put in my 2 weeks notice at the place I have worked for fourteen and a half years. Leaving my friends I have made there is not a move I take lightly, but this move is just the BEST move for me and my family. The ability to move from a HUGE printer to a much smaller one just makes sense. The ability to grow and to spread my wings and grow, its whats needed at this time. Today was a monumental day for me and one I need to share. I’m sorry for being such a sap, but you know how soft I can be and this is no exception.

Mamma in Denver
Posted By tommytrc On Friday, February 5th 2010 In TommyLog Tags: c-section, Denver, family, kids, love, madeline, Multimedia, Online Writing, Short story, tommytrcMrstommy is away at a “teacher conference” in Denver, Co. If she really needed time away, she could of asked LOL. The big kids mom had to write a short story reliving a part of her life. She picked the time when Madeline was born, breech. So not only was Madeline born C-section, but 1 week later, mom had to have her appendix taken out. A scary time for tommy watching your sweetie wheeled away as you hold your 1 week old. Yikes.
